PEANUT SWIRL BROWNIES

Ni adalah penangan bila tengok chef dalam Barefoot Contessa astro 706...meleleh air liur...masa tu jugak rasa nak buat. Memang senang gak nak buat nye.

BAHAN-BAHAN (separuh resepi asal):-

225g unsalted butter

CARA-CARANYA:-

1) Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas Mark 4. Butter and flour a 30 by 45 by 4cm sheet pan. (akak guna bekas 10 x 10 inci)

2) Melt together the butter, 225g of chocolate chips, and the unsweetened chocolate in a medium bowl over simmering water. Allow to cool slightly.

2) In a large bowl, stir (do not beat) together the eggs, coffee granules, vanilla, and sugar. Stir the warm chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and allow to cool to room temperature.

3) In a medium bowl, sift together 75g of flour, the baking powder, and salt. Add to the cooled chocolate mixture.

4) Toss the remaining 170g of chocolate chips in a medium bowl with 20g of flour, then add them to the chocolate batter. Pour into the prepared baking tray. Spoon the peanut butter over the top of the chocolate mixture and using a knife, swirl it through the chocolate mixture.

5) Bake for 20 minutes, then rap the baking tray against the oven shelf to force the air to escape from between the tray and the brownie dough (akak hentak sikit je). Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes more or until a toothpick comes out clean. Do not overbake!

6) Allow to cool thoroughly, refrigerate, and cut into large squares.

Memang tak rugi nak cuba...akak pun first time buat brownies ni...memang senang la compare to cakes...rasanya next time tak yah nak letak extra choc chips yang 170g tu...dan tak perlu la nak hentak2 bagai halfway masa masak tu ..panas wei masa bukak oven !!..biar je la dia terus masak :)
